China is Australias largest single source of imports, supplying a vast range of manufactured goods including electronics, machinery, clothing, furniture and steel products, with ChAFTA progressively reducing tariffs to zero on the majority of Chinese goods entering Australia.
Goods originating in China may qualify for preferential duty rates under ChAFTA. Goods must meet the rules of origin and be accompanied by a valid certificate of origin.
