The UAE is a key trading partner for Australia, notably exporting petroleum products, gold and precious metals, aluminium, and luxury goods including jewellery and perfumes. The AUAECEPA, which entered into force in 2023, provides significant preferential duty rates and has strengthened bilateral trade flows across a broad range of goods.
Goods originating in United Arab Emirates may qualify for preferential duty rates under AUAECEPA. Goods must meet the rules of origin and be accompanied by a valid certificate of origin.
